4/22/2011 Cod Fishing Report
We arrived at the dock at 4:30 with the temp just above freezing and winds were pretty breezy. We knew were were in for a rough morning… While all of this is true, don’t you hate how every fishing report starts this way.
We joined the fleet on Stellwagen just after Sunrise and Capt. Chuck quickly realized that we needed to move off on our own. After a few minutes of searching around the order was given to drop the jigs to the bottom. Fish immediately began striking both the jig and the teaser and many keeper doubles came over the rail. At about 11 AM, The crew from DC had caught their limit and the Skip A Dory steamed home. Back at the dock, Stanley and friends loaded ~ 200 pounds of delicious cod fillets into their trucks for the long trip home. Another great day of fishing with Boston Sportfishing!
